Carol was born on Nov. 10, 1933, in Leavenworth, the daughter of Joseph and Mamie (Parsons) Concannon. On Aug. 15, 1954, she married Thomas M. Scott in Leavenworth. He preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1983.
She later married Tillman L. Nester. He survives her.
She is also survived by her two sons, Douglas and Gary Scott; and six stepchildren, David, Michael, Paula, Elizabeth, Carla and Karen.
Carol worked for Armed Forces Insurance for 25 years, retiring as a supervisor-manager. She was a member of the Pilgrim United Church of Christ.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, at the Davis Funeral Chapel.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, at the funeral chapel. Burial will follow in the Mount Muncie Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society in care of the Davis Funeral Chapel, 531 Shawnee St., Leavenworth, KS 66048.
