REMINDER - CLASS OF ‘52 60TH REUNION: May 4, 5 & 6, 2012 Reservations and money to Bonnie Chambers Martin by April 4, 2012.
You wont want to miss this one; it will probably be our last!

There were a few changes made after our last committee meeting. The Saturday dinner will be sit down and not buffet, therefore a choice of meats must be made. If you have already sent in reservations, we will contact you for your choice. Another change regards the class picture. We had hoped to use the class treasury to provide pictures for all that wanted them. Our treasury balance is getting low, so we must ask $10 for the picture.
Here again is the schedule of events for the reunion weekend:
Friday the 4th — 6:30 PM — Casual get together at The Café located at 1102 N 2nd. This is in the old Abernathy building south of the Missouri River Bridge. Go north on 2nd to Cheyenne and turn right (east). The Café is located in about the middle of the building. Hor d’oeuvres provided by classmates will be available before the catered buffet. $10 per person (BYOB).
Saturday the 5th -- 6:30 PM -- Social
Hour at the Heritage House, 109 Delaware. (BYOB) A class picture will be taken during this time shortly before dinner.
--------------------- 7:30 PM -- Dinner at the Heritage House: Choice of Brisket or Chicken $25 per person. Meal includes salad, potatoes, vegetable, rolls, apple pie, coffee or tea. Tax and gratuity included.

Last of the Old School
The Leavenworth High School Class Of 1959 50 year Reunion was a great success with about 50% of the surviving graduates in attendance. The three day event spanned a beautiful, mild fall weekend, October 23-25 2009.
We are the "Last of the Old School" having closed out the 4th Street location, and, of course, we just must be the most distinguished class in school history. In any event, we think we were pretty special and had a wonderful time sharing memories with classmates literally coming from all four corners of the country and from all diverse segments of our class.
On balance we behaved reasonably well, nobody went to jail and nobody went home pregnant, though there were a few swollen heads on Sunday morning at our Farewell Brunch held at June's Cottage on North Broadway.
We have appointed a Planning Committee to begin work on our 75th Reunion! It consists of all those classmates who couldn't make it to the 50th.
