Last of the Old School

The Leavenworth High School Class Of 1959 50 year Reunion was a great success with about 50% of the surviving graduates in attendance. The three day event spanned a beautiful, mild fall weekend, October 23-25 2009.
We are the "Last of the Old School" having closed out the 4th Street location, and, of course, we just must be the most distinguished class in school history. In any event, we think we were pretty special and had a wonderful time sharing memories with classmates literally coming from all four corners of the country and from all diverse segments of our class.
On balance we behaved reasonably well, nobody went to jail and nobody went home pregnant, though there were a few swollen heads on Sunday morning at our Farewell Brunch held at June's Cottage on North Broadway.
We have appointed a Planning Committee to begin work on our 75th Reunion! It consists of all those classmates who couldn't make it to the 50th.
