Ocala, Florida - Darlyne Charlotte Roy, 70, passed away July 30, 2009, after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on Nov. 20, 1938, to the late Manuel E. and Charlotte Seeley, formerly of Leavenworth, Kansas.
Darlyne is survived by her four children from her former marriage to the late Capt. Hans Baumgarten of Key West, Florida; they are Mark Baumgarten and wife Michelle of Key West, FL; her daughter Denise Shetty and husband Sachin of Nashville, TN; Kurt Baumgarten and wife Dixie of Charlotte, NC; and Michael Eric Baumgarten of Los Angeles, CA. She is also survived by her sister, Donna Chapman (LHS Class of 1952) of St. Peters, MO; as well as 14 grandchildren.
Darlyne enjoyed singing karaoke with her companion of the last 2 years, Bob Goehner, who misses her dearly and made her so happy.
She wished to be cremated and her ashes poured into the waters off of the Mallory Square Pier in Key West, FL, which will take place over the Christmas holidays. Family and friends will be notified of these plans in the near future.
