Leila Baker-McMillon - LHS Class of 1950

Leila May Baker-McMillon, 77, of Leavenworth, Kansas, passed away May 1, 2010 after a long battle with diabetes. Leila was born Aug. 22, 1932, on Fort Leavenworth, the daughter of Lewis Charles Baker, 10th Calvary, U.S. Army and Virginia Brown-Baker, housewife. On Jan. 12, 1961 she married Ellis McMillon. Leila is survived by her children, Ellis McMillon, Jr., Phillip McMillon; two sisters, Beatrice Barnes and Wilberta Thornton; one brother, Harold Baker (LHS Class of 1956), and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Eric McMillon; her brother, Charles Baker; and her sister, Dorothy Lyons (LHS Class of 1946). Leila retired from Social Services after 23 years of service. She was a member of Pentecostal Church of Apostolic Faith. There will be no funeral services, as to her wishes.
