Dick and Elaine McGlinn - IMAC Class of 1950

Richard ("Dick") and Elaine (Kubicki) McGlinn will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on February 9, 2014. They were born and raised in Leavenworth, and wed at St. Joseph's Church. Dick and Elaine fell in love with each other's inner and outward beauty and extraordinary talents – his running and her soprano voice. Dick was inducted into the Immaculata Hall of Fame in 2004 – in his senior year at the K.U. Relays, he ran the hundred yards in 9.8 seconds. Richard and Elaine are the proud parents of eight children: Stephen (Rosalie), Paula (Michael), Mark (Parvati), Richard (Leah), Maureen, David (Holly), Daniel (Carol) and Eileen (Walt), and proud grandparents of sixteen grandchildren. In addition to being the most loving and supportive parents and grandparents, Dick has long advocated for humanitarian and social causes, and Elaine has long nurtured her family and her garden.
