Thomas Dean Hoeltzel passed away peacefully at home February 11, 2015. He was the third child of five, born June 16, 1938 to Edwin Oscar and Hollis Mae (Thomas) Hoeltzel (both deceased). He is also preceded in death by stepmother Shirley Dean Hoeltzel, sisters Gaile Marlene McCoy (Attended LHS) and Donna LaJean Gillaspie (LHS Class of 1952), daughter Mary and son Ralph Edwin "Eddie" Hoeltzel. Tom is survived by his wife Eva Jane (Moppin) whom he married on August 23, 1958 and daughter Tomi Lynn of the home. Also survived by two brothers Leland Edward (LHS Class of 1959) (Barbara) of Libby, MT and William Phillip Sr (LHS Class of 1961) (Linda) of Leavenworth.
He retired from TWA in 1994 and has enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling for many years.
Visitation will be at Davis Funeral Chapel, 531 Shawnee Street in Leavenworth, KS on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11 :00 am at St John Lutheran Church in Farley, MO. Memorials may be made to St John Lutheran Church or St Luke Hospice.
