Betty Thompson Alexander - Easton HS Class of 1953

Betty J. Alexander, 82, Easton, Kansas passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Country Care in Easton, Kansas. She was born near Mooney Creek in Jefferson County to Leatha Lollar Thompson and Lester Thompson of Easton, Kansas. 
Betty married Roy Alexander in 1962, they had 25 years together. He preceded her in death in 1987. She was also preceded in death by her brother Dale Thompson, he passed away on September 16, 2008. 
She leaves a nephew Tim Thompson and wife Diana, niece Pam Goodliff, nephew Rick Thompson and wife Rita and five great nieces and nephews. 
Betty graduated from Easton High School. She was employed with Gold Nugget Jewelry, Hallmark Cards and the U.S. Department of Agriculture in which she retired after thirty years of service. 
She loved to sew, fish, garden and play bingo. She was also very involved in her church. 
Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM Monday, May 15, 2017 at Easton United Methodist Church, Easton, Kansas followed by funeral service at 1:00 PM at the church. The Rev. Dean Lashley will officiate. Burial will follow at Mount Muncie Cemetery, Lansing, Kansas.
