Freda Adams Danser - LHS Class of 1954

Freda May Danser passed away at her beloved home in Mimbres, New Mexico on July 7, 2019.  She was born in Leavenworth on Dec. 26,1935 to Fred and Nellie Adams. Freda graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1954 and worked at Hallmark Cards. On April 27, 1957 She married Cecil H. Danser (LHS Class of 1952) and the couple enjoyed 62 wonderful years together. They retired in the desert mountains of the Gila National Forest.
She was an avid lover of puzzles. Every Christmas and birthday, family would find new puzzles for her to piece together. She often would glue them to hang or gift to others. Freda loved the flowers she and her husband would grow as well as all of the many birds and wildlife that would visit their yard.
Freda was proceded in death by her parents, her brother, Wesley, her sisters: Mary, Helen, and Margie and daughter-in-law, Bonnie.
She is survived by her husband, Cecil, Mimbres, New Mexico; son, Larry and wife, Penny, Mimbres, New Mexico; son, Doug and wife, Nancy, Emmett, Idaho; grandchildren, Amanda, Eric, Lori and 4 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held June 10, 2020, at the Rio Mimbres Baptist Church in Mimbres, New Mexico, with a gathering of family and friends to follow at the Danser home.
