Virginia Lee Heintzelman, 84, of Leavenworth, KS died October 20, 2019 at her home.
Virginia was born June 30, 1935 in Leavenworth, KS to Arthur H. Connell and Mary Shaughnessy. She had two brothers, Walter Connell and Arthur Parrick and a sister, Donna Lee Schleigher.
She married Francis Heintzelman on June 3, 1961 at the Sacred Heart Church in Leavenworth, KS.
Virginia worked as a Nurse’s Aide at St. John Hospital, Leavenworth, KS and as a nanny and caregiver for several families. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Red Hats Society in Leavenworth.
She is survived by her husband, Francis Heintzelman of the home, daughters Mary Heintzelman-Glenn ( Husband Hodges Glenn), Jacqueline Buselt, and Angela Heintzelman-Peterson (Husband Mark Peterson), and a son Timothy Heintzelman (Gary Page). She had four grandchildren, Jami Hansen Jarzyk, Michelle Quintero, Tasha Buselt, and Josh Buselt. She also had 9 great- grandchildren: Xavier Jackson, Spencer Bryan, Lily Jarzyk, Amelia Jarzy, Mariah Runnells, Emma Williams, Alexander Hydro, Annie Buselt and William Buselt.
Virginia was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Shaughnessy Connell Kyckelhahn, her father Arthur H. Connell, her brothers Walter Connell and Arthur Parrick.
Visitation will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel, Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7 P.M.Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Friday, October 25, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the St. Joseph Church Altar Society.
