Jerry Bollin - IMAC HS Class of 1951

Jerome (Jerry) Benedict Bollin, 87, of Kickapoo Township, Leavenworth, KS passed peacefully at home on October 13, 2020.  He was born September 27, 1933 in Leavenworth, KS to John Joseph Bollin, Sr. and Helen Caroline (Leibach) Bollin.
 
A lifelong resident of Leavenworth, he graduated  from Immaculata High School in 1951.He worked at Sunflower Powder Company.  He was drafted into the Navy in 1955 where he traveled around the Pacific. He also worked on the Fort Leavenworth grounds crew.  Jerry was also a farmer and golf course owner/superintendent.   
Jerry married Rose Marie Hensley on February 25, 1956 at St. Ignatius Chapel at Fort Leavenworth, KS.  
He learned to fly in the late 1970s and owned his own plane until 1993.  He loved the game of golf and owned Shagbark golf course, Leavenworth.  He was a member of the Eagles.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Rose and four sons, Tab, Clayton, David and Joe, all of Leavenworth, his grandchildren Lucas Bollin, Texas; Miles Bollin, Oklahoma; Wills Bollin, Texas; Ross Bollin, Leavenworth; Emma Bollin, Lawrence, KS and Lilly Bollin, Leavenworth. And his greatgrandchildren:  Trenton, Wesley, Emily, and Oakley.  And two sisters: Mary (Jerry) Stoezer, Kansas City, MO and Nan (Harry) Stein, Melbourne, FL.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Colesta and Mika and his brother John (Buddy) Bollin.
A wake will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel, October 22, 2020 from 5 to 7 pm.  Funeral Services will be held at Davis October 23 at 10 a.m. followed by graveside service at Sacred Heart cemetery, Kickapoo Township. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
