Tommy "Tom" D. McNett, age 75, of Kansas City, KS, passed away on October 14, 2013 in Bates City, MO. Tom was born on June 13, 1938 to Francis and Hazel McNett in Leavenworth, KS. He graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1956. He married Wanda J. Clark (LHS Class of 1960) on May 24, 1959. He worked at Harcross Chemical Co. for 34 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, driving a truck, history and hot air balloons. He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister; his wife of 53 years, their only son, Troy, a son-in-law, and a granddaughter. Tom is survived by his 3 daughters; Debbie Davidson of Kansas City, KS, Sheryl Rodriguez of Leavenworth, KS and Carmen Daughtrey (Ron) of Bates City, MO; a former son-in-law; 2 sisters: Donna Schaefer (LHS Class of 1954) of Leavenworth, KS, Shirley Clark (LHS Class of 1963) of Lansing, KS; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 1:30-2:30 PM followed by a funeral service at 2:30 PM both at Maple Hill Funeral Home, Kansas City, KS. Wanda J. (Clark) McNett age 70 of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on Thursday October 25, 2012 after an extended fight with Lupus and Parkinson's Disease. Wanda was born on January 3, 1942 to Glenn T. Clark and Vera Marie Clark.
She married Tommy D. McNett (LHS Class of 1956) on May 24, 1959.
Wanda was a Nationally Certified Surgical Technician at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas until she became blind and retired in the late 1980's.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her only son Troy, a granddaughter, and four siblings. She is survived by her husband, three daughters: Debbie Davidson, Sheryl R. Rodriguez, Carmen Daughtrey and her husband Ron, former son in law: Steve Davidson, 7 siblings, 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday October 29, 2012 from 2-3 PM at Maple Hill Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3 PM following the visitation. Burial will follow services at Maple Hill Cemetery. The family suggests memorial
