Geri Kirby

Ruth Geraldine (Geri) Rodkey Kirby, age 84 of Abilene, TX passed away Saturday March 12, 2016 in Abilene, TX.
Memorial Service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Abilene, TX on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 2 PM. 
Geri was born on December 31, 1931 in Atchison, KS to Raymond and Florence Rodkey.
After graduation, she moved to Leavenworth, KS where she met her husband Everett E. Kirby (LHS Class of 1950). They were married on July 7, 1951. They moved to Vernon, TX in 1986 and later moved to Abilene, TX.
She was well-known as the greeter at the north side Walmart for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bob, husband, and daughter Sandi.
Survivors include her daughter, Rose (Raymond) Cantrell of Leavenworth, KS; son, Clint Kirby of Abilene, TX; grandchildren Angel, Travis, Tyler, and great-grandchildren; Nico and Kyla.
Flowers are welcomed, memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church of Abilene, TX, The , and the Abilene State Supported Living Center in honor of Geri's life.
