Myrtle Romaine Robinson-Moore, 82, stepped out of time eternity on June 19, 2016. She was born October 4, 1933 in Leavenworth, Kansas, the first of six children entrusted to Elmer E. and Louisa A. Robinson.
Myrtle attended elementary school at the Guardian Angels Home and Immaculata High School. She worked for and retired from Yellow Freight Systems and Children's Mercy Hospital.
She married Douglas Moore in August of 1954. God entrusted them with eight beautiful children: Douglas Moore, Jr., Cynthia Louise (Aaron) Weathers, Mildred Ann (Michael) Gomez, Thomas Eugene (Sheila) Moore, Cathy Sue Moore, Rickie Darnell Moore, Tracie Lynn Moore (Alton) Johnson, and Carmen Michelle (Travis) Parker.
In her spare time, Myrtle enjoyed bowling, family dinners and having candid conversations with everyone. She loved her family and friends and always made sure to attend her children's, grandchildren, siblings and other family members functions. Those who knew Myrtle would describe her as the one who never met a stranger. She was known for her beautiful personality and kind ways. In her eyes everyone mattered. She had the most beautiful spirit and a heart of GOLD! Her beautiful smile brought joy, happiness, love, comfort, understanding, grace, patience, and most of all a very caring heart to all she came in contact with. She also found pleasure in music, dancing and taking pictures, and had a great love for all.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Louisa Robinson; husband, Douglas Moore; brother, Walter Robinson; sister, Karen Robinson; and grandson, Victor Roseberry, Jr.
She leaves to celebrate her life: all of her beautiful children; brothers, James (Mary Robinson) and Gary (Joyce) Robinson; sister, Marion (Henry) Winfrey; twenty-two grandchildren, fifty-seven great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
