Gerald Joseph Weber, 81, of Leavenworth, died, Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Saint Luke’s Hospice House. He was born March 15, 1936, in Leavenworth, Kan., the son of George Henry and Clara Cathryn (Wacker) Weber.
On February 7, 1959, Gerald married Doris E. Brammell in Edwardsville, Kan., she survives at the home. He is also survived by three sons, David (Nancy) A. Weber, Darren (Tina) J. Weber both of Leavenworth and Dale (Cheryl) J. Weber of Atchison, Kan.; six grandchildren, Tony Weber, Ashley Sanchez, Shelby Weber, Lance Weber, John Weber and Madison Weber; and two great-grandchildren, Kegan Sanchez and Emily Sanchez.
Gerald loved farming and restoring antique John Deere tractors.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2017, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or St. Luke’s Hospice House.
