He is survived by his wife Shirley; four children: Michael (Paula) Wood, Lansing, KS, Teri (Jim) Nabors, Leavenworth, KS, Angela (Wade) Meadows, Lenoir, NC, Stacey (Seth) Ross, Hampton, GA; a brother James (Mary Lynn) Wood, Leawood, KS; a dear friend Dorothy Slapper Wood (LHS Class of 1951), Leavenworth; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Ed was retired from the US Air Force and from Hallmark cards.
As a former member of Leavenworth Baptist Church, Lake Ridge Baptist Church, Woodbridge, and Immanuel Baptist Church, Salisbury, he was a faithful servant of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and an active Gideon.
A visitation will be Monday, January 15th 9:00 - 11:00 am at the funeral home. A funeral service will be conducted at Belden-Larkin Funeral Home, Leavenworth, Jan 15, 2018, 11 am. Followed by internment at Mt. Muncie Cemetery.
A memorial service will be conducted at Immanuel Baptist Church, Salisbury on January 29, 2018 at 11am w/lunch following.
