She was born on August 24, 1933 to Raymond and Elva (Meyer) Doebele in Hanover Kansas. She was one of four children born in the family. Connie was a graduate from Immaculata High School. She married Donald G. Lord on February 14, 1953 in Leavenworth KS. After retirement she enjoyed shopping, supporting the Council on Aging, painting, playing cards and games, and in her younger years water skiing.
She is survived by her children David L (Ann) Lord, Debra Connell, and Mary Jo (Michael) Simonis, all of Leavenworth KS. Brother James (Barbara) Doebele, Lenexa KS, sister Karen (Jerry) Davis, Gladstone Mo and sister Rae Ellen (Steve) Busch, Atchison KS. 11 Grandchildren and 14 Great grandchildren and 1 Great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, Donald and two children Michael and James Lord.
A visitation will be Friday, May 24, 2019 at the funeral home 5:30 – 8:00 pm with a Rosary to be said at 5:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10:00 am with Fr. David McEvoy, O.Carm, officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1011 N Desoto Rd., Lansing KS.
