Jack Bailey - LHS Class of 1952

John P. "Jack" Bailey, 65, of Florence, Colorado died April 23, 2000. He was born Oct. 22, 1934 in Chillicothe, Ohio, to Harvey D. Sr. and Charlotte (Shroeder) Bailey.
Jack grew up on Ohio, Minnesota and Kansas and moved to Colorado in 1984. He loved Florence, the mountains and his friends in Fremont County.
He retired from the Kansas Prison System and the Colorado Department of Corrections, Division of Correctional Industries.
He was an animal lover and gardener. He preferred the Lutheran faith.
Jack is survived by a brother, Harvey of Hollister, Missouri and sister, Shirley Hoeltzel of Florence. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Zelda Sandwick.
Cremation was through the Colorado Cremation Society, and interment was in the family plot in Mount Muncie Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas. At his request there were no services. Friends may send memorials to a charity of the donor's choice.
