Marjorie E. Wood, 59, Eldon, Mo. died Aug. 29, 2000, at Lake Regional Health Center, Osage Beach.
She was born Feb. 10, 1941, in Topeka, Kan., a daughter of Marvin Sr. and Ora Gifford Light. Her parents survive in Leavenworth, Kan. She was married March 30, 1973, in Miami, Okla., to Clayton Wood, who survives at the home.
She graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1959 and worked as a nurse in the Kansas City area, moving to Eldon in 1981. She worked at Eldon Healthcare and Osage Beach Healthcare for the past 13 years.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Stephanie Lamm, Otterville, and Charlene Keesaman, Mount Vernon; one sister, Marilyn Vance (LHS Class of 1956), Leavenworth; one brother, Melvin Light (LHS Class of 1951), Kansas City, Kan.; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Don Leap will officiate. Burial will be in Tol Wood Cemetery, Eldon.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
