Donna LaJean Gillaspie, 69, Leavenworth, KS, passed away April 10, 2004. Funeral services 10 a.m. Wed., April 14, at Davis Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth (913) 682-5523. Family receiving friends 6-8 p.m. Tues. at chapel. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, National Kidney Foundation.
Gerald H. Gillaspie, 82, passed away at this home on March 14, 2012. Jerry was born August 12, 1929, in Goff, Kan. to George H. Sr. and Mattie Gladys (Perrin) Gillaspie.
He married LaJean Hoeltzel on July 1, 1952.
Jerry was in the Air Force, was a policeman and a fireman, retiring as a Captain. He later worked at KU Medical Center, retiring in 1992.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife and son Butch in 2004.
He is survived by his children, Robert Gillaspie, Hollis Reid and Donna Bradford. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 4 sisters.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at the Davis Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at the funeral chapel. Burial will follow in the Mt. Muncie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Gerald’s family in care of the Davis Funeral Chapel.
