Rose Mary Kempin, 71, of Overland Park, KS, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2007 from complications of Alzheimer's. Rose Mary was born November 29, 1935 in Leavenworth, KS to Joe and Maxine Larkin. She attended Immaculata High School and St. Mary's College in Leavenworth. She was a member of Curé of Ars Catholic Church, JOCO Serra Club, and Past President of St. Pius Altar Society.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Fredrick E. Kempin (LHS Class of 1952); daughters, Kathy Heath and her husband Buck, Overland Park, KS and Karen Glynn and her husband Earl, Overland Park, KS; and four grandchildren, SPEC Ben Heath, Josh Heath, and Brian and Megan Glynn; her sister, Kathy Crume and her husband John, Overland Park, KS; as well as her nieces, Janice Drake, Lee's Summit, MO and Julie Hamel, Westchester, OH.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 21st at Curé of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Road, Leawood, KS. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday at the Church with the Rosary at 7:30 P.M. The family suggests memorial contributions to Alzheimer's Association, 3846 W. 75th Street, Prairie Village, KS 66208; Cure' of Ars Catholic Church, or JOCO Serra Club.
