TO: CLASSMATES AND SPOUSES OF THE LHS CLASS OF 1952

REMINDER: RESERVATIONS & MONEY DUE AUGUST 10, 2009, for our mini reunion- birthday party September 11, 12, & 13, 2009.

Friday the 11th - 6:30 PM – Casual get together at The Café located at 1102 N 2nd. This is in the old Abernathy building south of the Missouri River Bridge. Go north on 2nd to Cheyenne and turn right (east). The Café is located about the middle of the building. There will be a catered buffet. $10 per person, (BYOB)
Saturday the 12th - 6:30 PM – Social Hour with cash bar at the LCC.
7:30 PM – Dinner at the LCC: Choice of Prime Rib or Chicken $25 per person. Meal includes salad, potato, vegetable, apple pie, coffee or tea.
Sunday the 13th - 10:00 AM – Breakfast Buffet at the LCC $8 per person.

All meals include tax and gratuity

We had a planning meeting a few weeks ago and everyone is working hard to make this a fun weekend. The annual Leavenworth River Fest at the River Front area is the same weekend and should give everyone something extra to do. In addition, Leavenworth offers a Trolley Tour of Historic Leavenworth. The one hour tours begin at 11 AM every Saturday from the C.W. Parker Carousel Museum located at 320 Esplanade. The fee is $5.00.

There will be golf at the LCC for those interested on Saturday morning. Tee time is 10 AM and green fees are $52.

CLASS NOTES:
• We thank classmates, Mary Miller Smith and Jim Oliver for their contributions to our class treasury.
• Fred (Babe) Murawski and Mary celebrated their 50th anniversary on June 6th.
• Jim Oliver traveled to Australia in April fora train convention.
• We lost 2 more of our classmates since writing the February newsletter.
