Donna Rae Keiser, 75, Kansas City, MO formerly of Leavenworth, KS passed away Friday, November 12, 2010 at her home.
Donna was born February 6, 1935 in Leavenworth the daughter of Charles A. and Jenny (Ramey) Hooper. She married Donald K. Keiser, he survives her at the home.
She is also survived by her children, Ron Nedwed and wife Sandy, Tim Nedwed and wife Sabrina and Kim Hancock and husband Tom, Donald B. Keiser, Leigh Keiser, Jeffrey Keiser, Jodi Smith and husband Tim, brother, Charles Hooper (LHS Class of 1965) and wife Sandy, sister Charlene Badami (LHS Class of 1959) and husband Ciro, aunt Mary Wright, 16 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Sara Keiser. Donna graduated from Stormont Vail School of Nursing, Topeka, Kansas. Donna's career was nursing, both as a surgical nurse and later as a nurse for the Leavenworth public schools and DeSoto Schools. Her greatest joy was her family and helping those who needed her. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Friends of Jesus church circle.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Davis Funeral Chapel, 531 Shawnee St., Leavenworth, KS. Memorial service will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church, 422 Chestnut St., Leavenworth, KS. Burial will follow in the Mount Muncie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Kendallwood Hospice, 2908 NW Vivion Road Riverside, MO 64150. A special thanks to Lori at Kendallwood Hospice.
