Howard Young - LHS Class of 1954

Howard G. Young, 77, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at his home in the Plaza Area of Kansas City, Missouri. 
Born in Leavenworth, Kansas he was the son of Esther and Eugene Young who predeceased him, as did Barbara (LHS Class of 1947), his only sibling.
Howard was a KU Journalism graduate. He started to work in advertising, but soon relocated to Dallas as an editor of TV Guide. In the 80's, he moved to New York and became a customer concierge for Banana Republic. In the 90's. he relocated to Kansas City's Banana Republic until he retired. 
Howard received many retail sales awards and citations of excellence. He was known for his never-failing good humor and endless kindness. 
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 12:30 pm at the Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery, Leavenworth. Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be made at www.davisfuneralchapelinc.com.
