She was born in Leavenworth, Kan., June 29, 1931, the daughter of Leo D. and Francis M. (Morrison) Baragary.
Mary Ann was a 1949 graduate of St. Mary's Academy.
In 1952, she married Edward Frederick. Together they established a family farm in rural Leavenworth that has endured now for 60 years.
She was a member of Boling Canning Club, Little Stranger EHU, and secretary of the Little Stranger Church Board for many years. Her generosity, hard work, fun-loving nature and commitment to family and community will be remembered.
Edward Frederick and their infant daughter Pamela, preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Debra (the late Timmy Howard) and Linda (Bernie) Bristow; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two brothers, Joseph Baragary and Bernard Baragary, sister Geraldine Howell and many nieces and nephews to whom she will always be “Aunt Mary Ann.”
Her parents, infant brother William, and brother Leo Baragary preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015 at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home with a Rosary at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m., Friday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Edward L. Frederick, 83, of Leavenworth, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2011.
Ed was born Aug. 15, 1927, near Topeka, Kan., the son of Frank and Nellie (Noonan) Frederick. He moved with his family to Leavenworth when he was 6 months old. Ed was a lifelong farmer and steward of the land. As a young man, he proudly worked along side his father and brothers at Frederick & Sons Feed and Implement Company in Leavenworth.
He inspired all with his patience, light-heartedness, work ethic and appreciation of the natural beauty of the land.
He married Mary Ann Baragary on Aug. 23, 1952. She survives at the home. He is also survived by two daughters, Debra (the late Timmy) Howard and Linda (Bernie) Bristow both of Leavenworth; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Bernice (John) Martens; and many nieces and nephews to who he will always be “Uncle Eddie.”
Ed was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Pamela; his parents; sisters, Lotas Frederick and Virginia Hutchinson; and brothers, Francis Frederick, Ralph Frederick, Virgil Frederick and Henry Frederick.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2011, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. The rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Phillip Winkelbauer as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Church.
