Wes Head

Thomas "Wes" Head, 75, of Leavenworth passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at St. John's Hospital. 
Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Belden Larkin Funeral Home.
He was born on October 28, 1939 in Leavenworth, Kansas the son of Charles and Edna (Hill) Head.
He attended schools in the Leavenworth area, having to leave school to help support his family while attending IMAC High School. He later obtained his GED. 
He married Claudia Bowman and together they had four children. They divorced and he married Judith Donelin on April 27, 1966.
He worked several profession in his life but spent the last twenty three years of his working career at Kansas State Prison in the engineers office.
Wes was a Golden Eagle and a member of the American Legion.
He loved many things; his grandchildren, bowling, camping, driving trips, and his friends. He also loved collecting, mainly collecting hearts. To know him was to love him.
He leaves his wife, Judy, Twin Sons; Thomas of Kansas City, Kansas and Jerry Wayne of Edwardsville, Kansas, Two daughters; June Martin of Atchison, Kansas and Joann Alspaugh of Lansing, Kansas, many grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. 
He was preceded in death by two brothers; Charles and Ernest Ray Head, Two Sisters; Nancy and Ethel May.
