Kenneth C. Brown, 76, of Leavenworth, Kansas, passed away peacefully Monday, June 4, 2018, surrounded by loved ones at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was born Oct. 13, 1941, in Leavenworth, where he spent most of his life, known and loved by many. Kenny served almost five years in the United States Army and had the privilege and honor of working for Geiger Ready Mix for over 20 years!
He is preceded in death by his parents, Davis and Josephine Brown.
He is survived by his four children, Shelly Beckham (Todd) of Rose Hill, Kansas, Shannon Stiles (Scott) of Rose Hill, Kansas, Kiley Young of Leavenworth, Kansas, Ty Young (Sydney) of Leavenworth, Kansas, and his sister, Vivian Brown Butera (LHS Class id 1960) (Bob) of Auburn, New York, along with his 12 grandchildren, Drew (Ashley), Cassidy, Chance, Chace, Parker, Jordan (Emily), Zac, Cassandra, Caullin, Caden, Camden, Kendry and his three great-grandchildren, Maci, Conor and Breckynn.
Graveside service with military honors will be held Monday, June 11, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Leavenworth National Cemetery (150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, Kansas). In lieu of flowers, please send donations to help disabled veterans to the Wounded Warrior Project.
