Judith Clark Goodin - LHS Class of 1956

Judith Ann Goodin, 73, Leavenworth, Kan. passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012, surrounded by her husband, children and family.
Judith Ann Clark was born May 19, 1938, in Leavenworth, Kan. the daughter of James L. Clark, Jr. and Helen L. Emery Clark.
Judith graduated from Leavenworth High School, attended St. Mary’s University and later received her Bachelors of Arts in Interior Design.
She married Robert D. Goodin, Sr. on January 19, 1955, in Leavenworth, they had four children.

Judith owned and operated J. Goodin Interiors for 15 years, to include a dealership of Benjamin and Moore paint, she was also president of a local contracting company. 
Judith was an avid dog lover, pursuing her American Kennel Club Judges license in the early 1960‘s. Her judging assignments led her extensively throughout the United States, including numerous assignments abroad in China, Japan, Europe, Australia and Argentina. She was founding member and President of the Leavenworth Kennel Club; the King Charles Cavalier Club of Greater Kansas City; three term president of the American Pointer Club and Show Chairman of the Heart of American Kennel Club. She had the honor to Judge Westminster Kennel Club on several occasions.
She was also President and Director of the American Red Cross Local chapter.
Judith was a member of Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church, Leavenworth, Kan. 

She is survived by her husband, Robert D. Goodin, Sr. of the home; her four children, Robert D. Goodin, Jr.; Becky A. Goodin (Donnelson); James W. Goodin and Julie Goodin (Litwhiler); 11 grandchildren; a sister; niece, nephew and many friends.
Visitation to be held Sunday, March 18, 2012, from 4 p.m to 7 p.m at Davis Funeral Chapel, 531 Shawnee St., Leavenworth, Kan.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m Monday, March 19, 2012, at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church, Seventh & Seneca Street, Leavenworth.
In lieu of flowers, we request that donations be made to the Judith A. Goodin Scholarship at Maple Woods Community College or to Leavenworth Animal Welfare Society.
