Leavenworth High School Class of 1953 hosted their 60th class reunion Oct. 18-19 beginning with a “Meet and Greet” at the High Noon Saloon. Classmates from Florida, Missouri, Montana, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania,
Texas, Virginia and Kansas spent the evening catching up, reminiscing, and laughing about shared past escapades. The group toured the most recent renovations of the “new” high school, starting with Pioneer Pete
and ending with the stadium. Classmates took a trolley tour of Leavenworth and enjoyed a Harvey Girls’ lunch in the restored 1888 Union Station. The reunion festivities concluded at June’s Northland for cocktails
and group photos, followed by a sit-down dinner. Robert Rosenberg was the emcee for the evening’s entertainment which began with Bob’s humorous explanation of why women are so much smarter than men.
Other classmates shared their hobbies and experiences, both humorous and profound.
