Carol Ann Day, age 69, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013, in her home.
She was born March 28, 1944, in New Maldin in Surrey, Great Brittain, the daughter of George and Betty Davis. On July 25, 1964, in Leavenworth, she married Joseph M. "Joe" Day (LHS Class of 1959), who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Joseph Leo Day and wife, Lynette of Easton, Kansas and Michael S. Day and wife, Myong of Albuquerque, New Mexico and five grandchildren.
Ann was a graduate of Leavenworth High School. For several years she was employed as a tool and parts attendant for the United States Army in Ft. Leavenworth. Twelve years ago she and Joe moved from Kansas to Shell Knob to make their home. Ann loved people and volunteering at the Thrifty Closet and Central Crossing Senior Center. She enjoyed bird watching and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She had a craft booth known as Ann's Sewing & Crafts and went to various craft fairs.
No services are scheduled at this time. Ann had made arrangements to will her body to Science Care.
Local arrangements were under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob.
