Harold Beck - IMAC HS Class of 1953

Harold Francis Beck, 82, of Leavenworth, died, Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, at Lansing Care and Rehabilitation. He was born Jan. 7, 1935, in Leavenworth, the son of Howard E. and Mary Rose (Wiesinger) Beck Jr.
On May 6, 1961, Harold married Kay Frances Hilscher. She preceded him in death March 12, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Harold is survived by a daughter, Joanne M. Beck of Leavenworth; three sons, Daniel (Christy) Beck of Dallas, Texas, Michael J. (Heather) Beck of Lansing, Kan. and James P. (Kelly) Beck of Cummings, Ga.; four grandchildren, Sara E. Beck, Jeffrey M. Beck, Julie A. Beck and Olivia Beck; two sisters, Mary Ann (Charles) Raney of Camdenton, Mo. and Rose M. Phillips of Leavenworth; a brother, Howard E. (Sandy) Beck III of Kansas City, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation beginning with the rosary will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Joseph Church, with Rev. David McEvoy, O.Carm. as celebrant. Memorials are suggested to Asana Hospice or St. Joseph Church.

Kay Frances Beck, 66, of Leavenworth, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at St Luke’s Hospital.
She was born July 11, 1941, in Leavenworth, the daughter of Fred and Myrtle (Finneran) Hilscher.  Kay graduated from Immaculata High School. 
On May 6, 1961, she married Harold Francis Beck at Sacred Heart Church.  He survives at the home.  She is also survived by her children, Daniel S. and Christy Beck, Joanne M. Beck, Michael J. and Heather Beck, and James P. and Kelly A. Beck; her siblings, Lily Harris, Martha Harrington, and David Hilscher; her grandchildren, Sara E. Beck, Jeffrey M. Beck, Julie A. Beck, and Marcus Siolo; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2008, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home.  The rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Traudt, O.Carm., as Celebrant.  Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception-St. Joseph Church.
