On August 31, 1958, Hugh married Janet Marie Haeffner - LHS Class of 1957). In August of last year, they celebrated their 60th anniversary with all four of their children and daughter-in-law’s, many of their grandchild and a great grandchild.
Hugh served in the US Army for 20 years, to include a combat tour in Vietnam. He was a bronze star recipient. After the Army he worked as a contractor for RCA/GE and Raytheon Service Companies. Hugh was active in various hobbies, to include serving as the president of the Rose Society in El Paso Texas, served as the president of the Catonsville United Methodist Church XYZ (Extra Years of Zest) group.
Hugh was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Lloyd. He is survived by his wife Janet; his brother Bill and wife Pat; four children, Hugh and his wife Melody, Donald and his wife Delia, David and his wife Leticia, and Jennifer; 9 grandchildren, Shaun and Meghan, Kyle and Cara, Corey and Heather, Anthony, Logan and Lauren, Stephanie, Marc, Johnathon, and Sarah; 4 great grandchildren, Matthew, Haylee, Maddison, and Cuyler.
Visitation will be from 10 - 11 a.m., Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Davis Funeral Chapel, followed by graveside service at Mt. Muncie Cemetery.
