Lickskillet

Julius Cord has brought Lickskillet back to Leavenworth after a brief absence.
Cord, born in Leavenworth and now living in Okemos, Mich., recently published “Lickskillet Revisited,” his second anthology of stories about growing up in Kansas.
Cord said the stories still draw on his own experiences growing up in Lickskillet, a section of northeast Leavenworth from the Missouri River to Fifth Street.
