Beau Kansteiner - LHS Class of 1952

Beau Kansteiner has had perfect attendance at the Leavenworth Rotary Club for more than 38 years and counting.
It’s not that he hasn’t been busy — in addition to his years in the club, he has served on numerous community organizations and projects, including more than 20 years on Salvation Army advisory board and a number of years helping with Meals on Wheels.
Because of his professional career, the water treatment plant at the north end of the city of Leavenworth also bears his last name — Kansteiner and his father, H.H. Kansteiner, both served as managers for the Leavenworth Water Department. During his tenure, Beau said he oversaw the planning and construction of the South Plant and the upgrade of the treatment plant in northern Leavenworth.
Somewhere in the midst of all of that, Kansteiner said he had missed a few Rotary meetings. But he’s always been able to make up for any absences whenever possible.
He said making room in his schedule for all of the obligations has never been a problem.
“I have always enjoyed my work,” Kansteiner said.
During the club’s regular meeting on Wednesday, Kansteiner was presented with the Four Avenues of Service Citation from the Rotary Club, signed by Rotary International President John Kenny.
