Charlotte Edmonds, 82, of Weston, MO passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the Hillview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Platte City, MO. Charlotte was born June 30, 1935 in Weston to Charles Clarence and Maude Elizabeth (Stephens) Carter.
She was a 1953 graduate of the Weston High School, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Weston. Charlotte married Hubert Eugene Edmonds on November 29, 1955 in Corinth, Mississippi.
In addition to being a homemaker, Charlotte worked at the New Deal Tobacco Warehouse in Weston, during tobacco season; and also worked at the Easy-Buy convenience store in Weston.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and volunteered her time by placing flags on the graves of veterans.
Charlotte was very devoted to her family and loved raising flowers and fishing. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her siblings Harlen “Brooks” Carter, Owen “Estil” Carter, William “Bill” Carter, and Gertrude Siler.
Charlotte is survived by: her husband Hubert, of the home; her son Danny of Weston; her daughter Tina (Tim) Dragoo of Cleveland, GA; grandchildren Carmen, Jason, Abby, and Tyler; 6 great grandchildren; her siblings Geraldine Orr of Grenada Hills, CA, and Callarene Mathy of Gainesville, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 14 at Vaughn Funeral Home in Weston. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 15, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Weston. Memorial contributions can be given to the charity of one’s choice.
